Naseeruddin Shah’s Post about Kohli leads to a Debate on Social Media

In India vs Australia second test series at Perth. Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and Australia’s Test captain Tim Paine were involved in some verbal spat so much that the on-field umpires had to intervene and take control of the situation.

Indian film actor Naseeruddin Shah called Kohli ‘world’s worst behaved player’ that started a debate on social media. He also took a jibe saying that he has no intentions to leave the country.

The veteran actor wrote on his verified Facebook account, “Virat K is not only the worlds best batsman but also the worlds worst behaved player. His cricketing brilliance pales beside his arrogance and bad manners. And I have no intention of leaving the country by the way,”.

Many Indians criticized the actor Naseeruddin Shah for his comment over Virat Kohli while many others supported the actor. Many defended Kohli who feels that aggression is needed to beat the Australians.

Earlier also, Kohli asked a fan to leave the country when the fan said that he likes English and Australian batsmen more than Indian batsmen. This comment of Kohli heated debate on social media like it did this time.

Some defended Naseeruddin Shah’s post and one said, “Thanks for being vocal about this. Negating his batting brilliance with some very disgraceful acts. This is what separates real champions like Bradman, Lara, Sachin Tendulkar and not to forget Kumble."

While many supported Virat Kohli and one said, "I would like to disagree with you on this issue. Virat's aggression, his 'bad behavior' and his extraordinary skill set as a cricketer come as a package. They are intricately interwoven. You cannot separate these from one's psyche which is a complex entity altogether. As far as I have watched him, he's seldom initiated any verbal spat but has paid back, albeit with interest, to an insult hurled at him or his team. His behavior outside the field is also humble and constructive,".

A Virat Kohli fan from Pakistan said that everything is justified if a player can perform like Kohli and since Kohli is in Australia he needs to be aggressive and should treat Aussies in their language. The fan wrote that he is from Pakistan but Kohli deserves all the respect and he considers Kohli as a legend.
