Cricket Australia said No for the Australia Tour of Pakistan for Securtiy Concerns

Previously, a five-match ODI series was scheduled between Australian National Cricket team and Pakistan National Cricket Team before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. But recently, Cricket Australia has confirmed that the Australian cricket team will not tour Pakistan for a series.

Cricket Australia has refused to Pakistan Cricket Board's request due the security concerns. PCB has requested CA to play atleast two One Day International out of the five in the country to which CA refused.

A Cricket Australia person said that they want to see international cricket returning to Pakistan as the country has a huge passion for it but the security and the safety of their players and staff is their key priority and they would not compromise with that. Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja are ready for the tour to Pakistan if Cricket Australia allows them.

The Pakistan born Australain Cricketer Usman Khawaja said, “Obviously, whatever Cricket Australia tells us, that’ll be the big thing. We’ll leave it to the administrators. They’re pretty good at taking care of us and making sure everything’s safe.”

Aaron Finch said,“It would be great to get cricket back in Pakistan. The passion their fans have got and just the amount of fans … (there are) some pretty empty stadiums in the UAE. Anytime there’s cricket back in Pakistan, they’re swinging from the rafters to get a seat.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan National Cricket Team is playing its third and the final test against the South Africa National Cricket Team. The Pakistan tour of South Africa began on December 19 and consists of 5 ODIs, 3 Tests, 3 T20s.

Till now Pakistan National Cricket Team has lost both the test match against the South Africa. The five-match One Day Internationals and three-match Twenty20 International are yet to take place.
