Know all about the upcoming Sri Lanka tour of Australia 2019

Sri Lanka National Cricket Team currently lost the entire tour against New Zealand National Cricket Team that consists of three One Day Internationals, Two Tests and the only Twenty20 International.

The Sri Lanka tour of New Zealand started on December 8 and continued till January 11. Sri Lanka National Cricket Team was not able to win a single match down under. The 3-day practice match between New Zealand XI and Sri Lanka and the first test at Wellington ended in a draw.

Other than these matches, Sri Lanka lost the entire three-match One Day International series entirely. Also, the Sri Lankan cricket team could not win the second test and the only T20. Now after loosing from New Zealand, Sri Lanka will tour to Australia.

The Sri Lanka tour of Australia will kick start from January 17 and will end on February 5. The tour will consist of only a two-match test series which will start from 24 January. Ahead of the test series, a three-day practice match will take place between Cricket Australia XI and Sri Lanka at Bellerive Oval, Hobart.

The first test between Australia National Cricket Team and Sri Lanka National Cricket Team is scheduled to be held at the Gabba, Brisbane from January 24 and the second and the final test will be held at Manuka Oval, Canberra from February 1.



It will be interesting to see if the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team can win any match against the Australia National Cricket Team or this time too they will be defeated like the previous tour. The test squad for the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team and the Australia National Cricket Team is as follows:

Sri Lanka Cricket Team test squad includes Captain Dinesh Chandimal, Kusal Mendis, Dhananjaya de Silva, Roshen Silva, Niroshan Dickwella, Kusal Perera, Lahiru Thirimanne, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Dilruwan Perera, Lakshan Sandakan, Suranga Lakmal, Kasun Rajitha, Lahiru Kumara, Nuwan Pradeep, Dimuth Karunaratne, and Dushmantha Chameera.

Australia Cricket Team test squad includes Captain Tim Paine, Josh Hazlewood, Joe Burns, Pat Cummins, Marcus Harris, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Will Pucovski, Matt Renshaw, Mitchell Starc, and Peter Siddle.
