Sachin Tendulkar: IPL has played a significant role in Indian Cricket's success than Ranji

Indian National Cricket Team is reaching heights in the international cricket. Ahead of the upcoming twelfth season of Indian Premier League, God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar shared his opinion on Indian Cricket's success in recent times.

As IPL 12 is going to begin from March 23, Sachin Tendulkar said that the Indian Premier League has played a significant role in Indian Cricket's success in recent times than Ranji Trophy. He thinks that the upcoming cash-rich league will once again provide some talented young players to Indian cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar believes that IPL has provided the young cricketers a platform to compete with the best cricketers of the world. He also praised Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw for their performance in India vs Australia Test series.

He also praised and pinpoints Cheteshwar Pujara and told that he is the biggest factor in India’s win over Australia in Test series. Tendulkar said that the Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal has done well.

He said that the team has the right balance but overall he feels that if a player does well in the IPL then everyone takes notice. He said, “Those guys may have done really well in Ranji Trophy or in the Duleep Trophy but the rest of the world does not know about it,”.

He also feels that India’s win in Australia will bring the young generation to take up cricket as a sport. He said, “ The team has done really well and the brand of cricket (which) India has been able to produce was magnificent".

Sachin Tendulkar said, “IPL, I think, has had a tremendous contribution. It has given exposure to our youngsters; to believe that they can compete against anyone in the world. I think we are in that fortunate position to dominate in the world".

He further added that the IPL has taken Indian Cricket to a different level altogether. He told that IPL has been India’s strength and in the last 10 years of IPL, they have seen that more and more young talent is flourished and that is only because the right platform was provided.
